Improve your emotional health and wellbeing, get out and about for half term.

We all know that keeping fit and active has a very positive effect on the way we feel, and helps us with our emotional health and wellbeing. So we have put together some useful links to help you remain stress free over the half term break.

You don't always have to spend money to do this, you can just take a walk, or go to your local park, maybe collect conkers and leaves, but most of all just enjoy the fresh air, you will feel better for it!

Rhymetimes for under 5s 

Sessions last between 20 minutes and half an hour. They are friendly, informal sessions where you can join in with action nursery rhymes and songs.

  • Rhymetimes are a good for helping with your child's language development.
  • By using simple musical instruments and performing action songs babies develop language and rhythm.
  • They are an opportunity for you to learn some new rhymes to share at home with your child.

 

The Gunpowder Plot returns to Boughton House 

Following the success of last year’s event, the true story of how Northamptonshire played a vital role in the hatching and thwarting of the infamous Gunpowder Plot will be told at Boughton House onTuesday 4 November and Wednesday 5 November in a spectacular show combining theatre, storytelling, music, large scale digital projections, and of course, a fireworks finale.

This family friendly Bonfire Night celebration begins with early evening entertainment setting the atmosphere for a spectacular performance created by award winning, Metro-Boulot-Dodo. The performance retells the story of the gunpowder plot and its many connections to both Boughton House and the county of Northamptonshire.
