An engagement workshop took place on 8 October 2013 at Kettering Conference Centre to commence the re-design of community services for children and young people.

NHS Nene CCG and NHS Corby CCG will be re-commissioning a wide range of children and young people community health and community and voluntary sector services during 2014/15. This will entail the de-commissioning of a range of services for children and young people and re-tendering for this provision with new models of service delivery being in place from the 1st October 2014. 

At the event, attendees heard why there is a need to re-commission, how the re-commissioning process will work and learnt about some of the key findings identified through detailed needs and activity assessments already undertaken. A series of table top discussions gave the 200 attendees the opportunity to have their say on what they would like to see from children’s community services and the considerations that both CCGs should have when designing services. A question & answer session followed before the event was closed by Dr Darin Seiger, Chairman of Nene CCG.
