REACH are five highly regarded youth agencies, and all offer 1-2-1 sessions with a qualified counsellor.
You can contact your nearest youth agency yourself for more information.
Your local GP,  teacher or school nurse can also refer you for counselling if you are finding things tough.

Accessing counselling and emotional wellbeing services

Counselling and emotional wellbeing support is currently available as a free service to young people in the local area.

If you are a young person, or the parent or carer of a young person aged 11 to 18 years old (or 25 years if you have a special educational needs and / or disabilities and are accessing mainstream state funded school or college) and you live in the boroughs of Corby or Kettering, you can apply for support using the appropriate online self-referral form.

Did you know? the lowdown offers free and confidential counselling, sexual health and LGBTQ support services six days a week in Northampton for 12-25 year olds.

You can get the help and support you may need, whatever you are struggling with. You can access our services by calling us on 01604 634385email, or through a referral.

As well as providing therapy and counselling services the charity also delivers several innovative and award-winning projects that deal with issues such as self-harming, online abuse & grooming. Other projects provide young people with the opportunity to become involved in positive activities such as arts, crafts, sports and volunteering, they organise holiday clubs and provide help for NEETS. (Young People Not in Education, Employment or Training)

Time2Talk is a young people’s counselling and information service based in Daventry Town centre. We also have a small satellite service that runs in Towcester on a Monday and Weds afternoon. Counselling is free and available for young people aged 11-18. Counselling is by appointment and we accept referrals from GPs or other professionals as well as accepting self-referrals.To access Time2Talk young people need to reside in the Daventry district area of Northamptonshire or in the Towcester and South Northants areas of Northamptonshire and need to be able to travel to us either in Daventry or in Towcester. 

Alongside our counselling service we also offer free condoms and pregnancy testing and chlamydia screening at our Daventry base for young people and young adults up to the age of 25 as well as access to the Daventry food bank service. Time2Talk are agents for our local food bank.  No appointment is needed for our non-counselling services, just call in during our opening times. For more information call us on 01327-706706 messages can be left on our answerphone at busy times or out of hours.

Friday 10.00-2.00pm

Sat 10.00am-12.00noon

What help can I get?

Confidential support and advice from qualified professionals through 1-2-1 Counselling or Therapeutic Mentoring (using clay/textiles etc) whichever suits you to best explore your emotions and feelings.

How do I access help?

If you are aged between 9-18 years of age (up to 25 for those with a disability) contact us by email, or by telephone. We will guide you through everything you will need to do. 

How to find us?

We can meet you at our offices in Oundle or at your school if this is more convenient. Our base is in Oundle but cover North East Northants which includes Oundle, Thrapston, Easton-on-the-Hill, Kings Cliffe, Nassington, Aldwincle, Titchmarsh, Warmington and other smaller villages.
