The BBC Inside Out programme are looking to recruit a family, one of whom will have a disability, to help them with a programme about becoming more active.

They are looking for a family who would be willing to be filmed a few times over about 4 weeks. The programme will show the family taking on the challenge of becoming more active, and seeing what effect that has.

The idea is that they measure some aspects of their behaviour – including how much/how well they sleep, their mood, their concentration levels, then offer some activities for each family member, challenging them to improve. After 4 weeks, they measure them again and explain what has changed and how they could continue to improve.

If you either have a disability yourself, or are a family member of someone who is, that would be interested in taking part in this programme, then please get in touch via Ask Normen at asknormen@nhs.net by Monday 18th September.

If you work, or volunteer to support disabled people in any way, or have contacts with them in any other way, then can you please make them aware of this opportunity.
