Dove Self-Esteem Project from Parent Zone

Parent Zone is delighted to be working with Dove on its acclaimed Self-Esteem Project.

The project has already helped over 20million young people worldwide, encouraging them to feel positive and confident about themselves. Now, the aim is to help millions more.

Why the Dove Self-Esteem Project matters

Young people today are under huge pressure to look a certain way.

Anxieties over appearance can affect their health, friendships and performance at school.

In the UK, 9 in 10* girls with low body-esteem will opt out of fundamental life activities, such as engaging with family and loved ones, sharing their opinion, joining a team or club, or even leaving the house if they don't feel good about the way they look.

Dove has been helping young people build body confidence and self-esteem for over 10 years by offering expert resources to pupils, parents and teachers. The resources are meticulously researched, written by experts and accredited by the PSHE Association, here in the UK.

Now, you will be able to access this specialist help and advice via our dedicated Dove Self-Esteem Project pages on Parent Zone and our sister site, Parent Info, the free news feed advice service for parents that schools can run on their own websites.

Teachers, please register in the box below. Once you fill in the form, you will receive an email to access your free downloadable Dove Self-Esteem Project resources for schools and parents.  If you have any questions, please email info@parentzone.org.uk.

Our regular fortnightly updates will start from Wednesday 15 March 2017.
